Soka University of America is seeking to make one tenure-track assistant professor appointment beginning in the Fall of 2015, and we invite applications. Our primary areas of interest are development economics and international economics. The position requires regular teaching of Macroeconomics. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in an inclusive, multidisciplinary environment with a diverse group of students and faculty. The standard full-time faculty teaching load is five courses per year, including two courses in SUA’s cross-disciplinary general education curriculum (Core, Modes of Inquiry, Learning Cluster or Pacific Basin; for course descriptions see our catalog at www.soka.edu). The candidate should have and maintain an active research program. A Ph.D., or all requirements for the Ph.D., must be completed by September 2015. We also welcome applications from those seeking positions at the advanced assistant professor level.
