The Department of Economics at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania seeks to fill a Full-Time Temporary position (AA# 40-4-045) at the level of Instructor for the Spring 2015 semester. The position requires teaching 12 credit hours at the undergraduate level. Course assignments may include, but are not limited to, Principles of Microeconomics and Introduction to Econometrics.
An ABD or Ph.D. in Economics and University teaching experience are preferred. Candidates with a Masters’ degree in Economics will also be considered. Preference will be given to candidates who are able to provide evidence or show potential for effective teaching. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations is preferred.
Finalists must communicate well and successfully complete a telephone interview, and provide official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work. Recommendation for hiring is needed from the majority of the regular, full-time faculty within the department. Prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, and criminal background check. Completing this search is contingent upon available funding.
