The Economics Department at Colgate University invites applications for a tenure track position, beginning fall semester 2015. We expect to hire at the Assistant Professor level, but outstanding candidates will be considered at the Associate or Full Professor level. Colgate is a highly selective liberal arts college where excellence in teaching and research are expected and supported. We seek a candidate with a research specialty in international trade and would welcome applications from candidates with broader interests in globalization and international political economy or the Chinese economy. Teaching would include courses in international economics and international trade. All Colgate faculty are expected to participate in all-university programs, including the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum. Completion of Ph.D. prior to or shortly after the date of hire is expected.
