The department of economics at the Maxwell School of Syracuse University seeks to fill a position in public economics at the Assistant Professor level. Candidates must have completed (or expect to complete prior to appointment) a Ph.D. in Economics. Preference will be given to individuals who have a history of research in federal tax and expenditure policy or the markets for health care and health insurance. The ideal candidate for this position is an individual who can provide guidance and advice to doctoral students, and who can help us staff Ph.D. and undergraduate classes in public economics or health economics. Senior candidates are expected to have a record of securing external funding.
