Rowan University is a comprehensive state-designated research institution with approximately 14,000 students located in Glassboro, N.J., 20-miles southeast of Philadelphia. The University has eight colleges and two medical schools.

The Department of Political Science & Economics seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Economics. We seek an applied microeconomist with teaching/research interests in Health Economics/Policy, plus one of the following fields: Labor, Urban, Public Finance, Econometrics, or Industrial Organization. The department created an economic research institute focusing on New Jersey related economic issues. The successful candidate will assist the institute's director in this mission.

Applicants should demonstrate strong research abilities and the potential to secure external funding. Evidence of excellence in undergraduate teaching is required. Candidates should have an earned doctorate in Economics, Public Policy or similar field by August 1, 2015.
