RAND's Economics, Sociology, and Statistics Department has openings for applied microeconomists at all levels of experience. RAND economists may choose to develop research agendas in any of the many active research areas at RAND and teach policy PhD students in the Pardee RAND Graduate School. We seek candidates with strong research potential or accomplishments in the areas of health and health policy, labor, aging, economic development, environment, education, civil and criminal justice, and defense.

Applicants should have a PhD or expect one by September 2015 and demonstrated research skills, a strong interest in policy-relevant empirical analysis, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
