The Economics Department seeks an Assistant Professor of Practice (non-tenure track) beginning August 2015. This faculty member will be an integral part of the Department and its long-term commitment to teaching excellence. The Assistant Professor of Practice will provide leadership to and participate in the teaching of introductory economics and intermediate theory. Depending on Department needs, other teaching might be possible. There is a strong interest in candidates with the ability and background to excel in teaching intermediate macroeconomics. Multi-year contract, renewable subject to performance. Teaching responsibilities typically are 12 hours per semester.

Minimum requirements are Ph.D. in Economics (or related field) at beginning of appointment and demonstrated accomplishment in teaching introductory-level economics. Interest in teaching intermediate macroeconomics is preferred.

Consideration of candidates will begin November 10, 2014 and continue until the position is filled or the search is closed. The Department will be interviewing selected candidates at the 2015 ASSA meetings in Boston.
