MIT Blueprint Labs is recruiting a Postdoctoral Associate, Education Programs to help lead the Charter School Research Collaborative. Blueprint uses data and economics to uncover the consequences of policy choices and improve society. Based in the Department of Economics at MIT, Blueprint consists of leading academics, full-time staff members, and graduate researchers.

The Postdoctoral Associate (Postdoc) works with Josh Angrist and Parag Pathak and Blueprint’s organizational partners to lead the Charter School Research Collaborative. The Collaborative conducts, funds, and offers technical support to groundbreaking research on charter schools in the U.S.

Most of the Postdoc’s time is spent conducting sponsored research in partnership with charter schools and school districts.

The Postdoc receives a full-time, one-year appointment that is renewable annually. An employment term of at least two years is strongly preferred. Employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background check.

The position offers the opportunity to join a research team with a strong publication track record and is likely to lead to several co-authored papers. The experience can help launch the candidate into a successful academic career. Previous Blueprint Postdocs have gone on to tenure-track positions in academia.
