Our staff of about 70 PhD economists analyze antitrust and/or consumer protection issues, providing policy recommendations to the Commission. The Bureau of Economics upholds a high standard of economic analysis, comparable to top academic institutions, and promotes independent research through efforts such as a seminar series and annual conferences.
