Assistant Professor in Macroeconomics

The Department of Economics at The Ohio State University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in macroeconomics. The starting date for the position is August 2026.

The candidate will be expected to establish and maintain an active research program; support our commitment to excellence in teaching; and mentor students at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Education and Experience Requirements
Required: Candidates must have a PhD in Economics before employment begins in August 2026, and have a research, teaching, and service record commensurate with rank.

Desired: Priority is given to candidates whose research (job market paper in particular) is innovative and of high quality.

(4) 1-2 page Teaching Statement summarizing your approaches and philosophy regarding teaching

(5) Job Market Paper
