The Department of Economics in the College of Arts and Sciences at Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month tenure-track position at the assistant or advanced assistant levels in Macroeconomics for appointment effective September 1, 2024.
In line with Texas Tech University’s strategic priorities to engage and empower a diverse student body, enable innovative research and creative activities, and transform lives and communities through outreach and engaged scholarship, applicants should have experience working with diverse student populations at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels within individual or across the areas of teaching, research/creative activity, and service.
Specific required qualifications are:
1. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Economics by the start date.
2. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the university’s mission and will demonstrate promise to publish research in peer-reviewed journals and to apply for external funding.
3. The successful applicant is expected to supervise Ph.D. dissertation research, and to demonstrate teaching effectiveness at all levels.
4. Demonstrate ability to participate in and contribute to the academic environment.

This position is open to applicants in the fields of macroeconomics and international economics. In addition to maintaining an active research agenda, successful candidates should demonstrate ability to teach core and elective macroeconomics courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
