Elon University located in Elon, North Carolina cordially invites applications for two tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant Professor starting in August 2024. The Department of Economics is housed within Elon’s Martha and Spencer Love School of Business.

Primary fields of interest must be in either empirical macroeconomics or empirical international economics.

We are a young and growing department with faculty who embrace the teacher-scholar model and are passionate about mentoring undergraduates. To complement the research strengths of our department, we seek candidates with a promising research agenda that is policy-oriented and empirically driven.

Teaching responsibilities will include principles, intermediate macroeconomics, international economics, and upper-level electives in their field. In addition, faculty at Elon also have opportunities to contribute to several interdisciplinary programs, including our new Advancing Equity Requirement, which is part of the university’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives.

Minimum requirements: Candidates must have a PhD in economics by August 2024. Candidates must have teaching experience with at least three credit hours of economics as an instructor of record. A clear background check is also required for this position.
