The Economics Department at Hamilton College invites applications for a tenure-track position in labor economics at the Assistant Professor level beginning July 1, 2024. Applicants should be committed to excellence in both undergraduate teaching and scholarly research. The successful candidate will teach courses in labor economics and/or economics of race, but scholarship in related fields will also be welcome. The teaching load for this position is 4 courses in the first year and 5 courses thereafter. The expected salary range for this position is $109,975 to $117,700. The College provides ample support for research, including start-up funds. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Economics or expect to complete all requirements before Fall 2024. The position requires institutional service including academic advising of undergraduate students after the first year. The 15 tenured and tenure-track faculty members in the Economics Department cover a range of fields, and the Department coordinates a joint seminar series with nearby Colgate University.
