The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) seeks an Associate Research Fellow (ARF) for a two-year, renewable appointment.
The ARF will conduct research on energy modeling with a focus of implications for agricultural systems. Applicants should have expertise or demonstrable interest in the agricultural dimensions of energy and sustainability, such as economics, agricultural economics or public policy.
Essential Duties:
-- Conduct research on energy use in agriculture in several case study countries
-- Support the CGIAR Research Program on Water, Land and Ecosystems on the research cluster water-energy-food nexus.
-- Develop an energy supply-demand module to link with existing IFPRI IMPACT models

Required Qualifications:
-- Ph.D. in Economics, Public Policy, Agricultural Economics or related discipline
-- Knowledge on energy use in agriculture
-- Demonstrated competence in GAMS
-- knowledge of CGE modeling capabilities
