The Department of Global Health and Population at the Harvard School of Public Health seeks candidates for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Non-communicable Diseases (NCDs) and Global Health. This is a tenure-track position, with the academic rank to be determined in accordance with the successful candidate's experience and accomplishments.

The department seeks candidates to expand its research on NCDs such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, stroke, mental illness or diabetes, in a global health context. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a program of field research in low and middle income counties. The candidate will also play a central role in the department's teaching programs. Overseas travel for fieldwork is envisaged.

Candidates will hold a doctoral degree in epidemiology, demography, economics, public policy, global health, or related disciplines, with a demonstrated expertise and interest in conducting quantitative studies and mixed methods. Prior field research experience in Africa or Asia is highly desirable.
