IMT Lucca ( invites applications from strong candidates for an Assistant Professor position in Econometrics, Statistics and Data Visualization. The appointed candidate will conduct research within the "Crisis Lab" (, a novel strategic research project financed by Italian government with the aim of creating an observatory of risks in domains ranging from finance, energy, markets, transport and urban systems, with interdisciplinary methodology based on the new science of complex networks. The appointed candidate will specifically be involved in the quantitative analysis of large databases through econometric techniques, panel data analysis and microeconometrics.

The appointed candidate will join "AXES - Laboratory for the Analysis of Complex Economic Systems" (, one of the Institute's interdisciplinary Research Units.

Remuneration packages are competitive at the international level; additional benefits may be negotiated with selected applicants. Successful candidates will have limited teaching (e.g. one/two classes per year) in the Institute's doctoral program.
