The Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin invites applicants to fill the newly endowed Victor Ramon Davila, Sr. Chair in International Trade Policy, beginning August 2015. The individual should have a research field in international trade or international economics. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, U.S.-Mexican trade policy and U.S.-Latin American economic relations. Qualified candidates will have an outstanding research record suitable for appointment with tenure at the level of Associate or Full Professor, demonstrated excellence in graduate and/or undergraduate teaching, and a commitment to active involvement in public policy debates. Candidates should be prepared to make a career commitment to research and graduate teaching in an interdisciplinary, policy-oriented setting. A joint appointment with the Economics Department is possible.
