Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, or equivalent terminal degree with a strong emphasis in at least two major business fields (e.g. management, marketing, finance, etc.) and an interest in developing an outstanding scholarly agribusiness program. Strong theoretical and quantitative methods training with excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

Job Description: This is a 60% research and 40% teaching appointment. The faculty member will be expected to teach a maximum of three classes per academic year along with advising undergraduate and graduate students. He/she will also be expected to develop a nationally renowned scholarly program in agribusiness. The desired research/teaching areas include but are not limited to agricultural management and marketing, food and fiber distribution systems, value-added agriculture, and agricultural market structure and performance. Major responsibilities will include: (1) developing a nationally recognized, industry-relevant research program with an effective outreach component (2) publishing research in major agricultural economics and agribusiness/business journals, (3) teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, (4) advising undergraduate and graduate students, (5) supporting the Masters of Agribusiness (MAB) program, and (6) securing sufficient grants and contracts to fund graduate students.
