Full Text of JOE Listing:
Economics professors Raj Chetty (Harvard), Nathaniel Hendren (Harvard), and Emmanuel Saez (Berkeley) are looking to hire a full-time research assistant for the academic year 2014-2015. Our research focuses on applied microeconomics and economy policy. Current projects study intergenerational mobility and equality of opportunity, the impact of places on children's outcomes, and the impacts of education. Much of the research uses "big data" and modern quasi-experimental methods to identify causal effects and test economic models. Recent results from these projects have been featured in the New York Times and cited in the President's State of the Union address.

The job will involve close collaboration with the professors at all stages of their ongoing research. Your responsibilities would include performing statistical analyses on large databases, writing programs to perform efficient computations with big datasets, and preparing and reviewing work prior to presentations or submissions. The position is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
