The Center for Financing, Access and Cost Trends anticipates one or more position openings for Ph.D. economists interested in conducting research on the U.S. health care system. The successful applicant(s) will join a team of interdisciplinary researchers generating policy-relevant publications in economics, health policy and health services research journals. Individuals will also contribute to the analytical design of the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS), a series of large surveys of households, employers and providers. We seek candidates with strong research potential and excellent applied microeconomic skills (both theoretical and econometric). We are especially interested in Ph.D. researchers with a few years of experience. The salary range ($106K-$138K) is equivalent to a GS-14, and will have an initial appointment of 2-3 years.
