Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Office of Energy Policy and Innovation (OEPI) at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission seeks to fill positions for a junior and a senior economist. The positions will be for grades GS-9 to GS-13, which currently have a salary range of $52,146 to $116,901. OEPI provides leadership in the formulation of policies to ensure the efficient development and use of transmission, generation and demand-side resources, remove barriers to the participation of emerging technologies and resources, and create a platform for innovation in wholesale energy markets. OEPI works in close coordination with other offices within the Commission to develop proposals and effectuate change. Candidates will provide economic expertise to an interdisciplinary team developing Federal energy policy and processing case filings on cutting edge issues affecting the future of the electric industry.
