The CRS Agricultural Livelihoods signature program area has a 5 year strategic goal to provide a pathway to prosperity for 2 million rural households. To delivery on this strategy, CRS seeks greater research capacity to gather data more effectively and strengthen our ability to analyze and publish results.

The agriculture and livelihood researcher will work within a global agricultural team to gather information, assess our performance and provide evidence about how our work is improving the lives of smallholder farmers, with emphasis on food security, economic wellbeing, market linkage, equitable decision making and sustainable production.

Qualifications:
--Preferred PhD in agriculture, or related area, but at least an MSc / M.A. in a development related field, such as agricultural economics, agriculture, agro-enterprise or agribusiness management.
--Preferred at least 3 years field experience in agricultural or rural development programs in Sub-Saharan Africa and/or Southern Asia.
--Strong Information Technology skills and capacity to learn new programs.
--Ability to support proposal development.
--Fluency in English. French language skills also helpful.
--Willingness to travel overseas up to 30% of time.
