Full Text of JOE Listing:
The University of Connecticut seeks to fill two full-time positions to teach undergraduate economics courses. One position is in the Storrs campus beginning August, 2014; and the other is in Stamford, beginning either August, 2014 or January, 2015. These are non-tenure-track "In-Residence" positions, which can result in a permanent non-tenured faculty position after six years. The teaching load will be 6-7 courses per year.

Minimum qualifications include a MA in Economics (for rank of Instructor) Ph.D. in Economics (for rank of Assistant Professor); demonstrated ability to teach principles courses in Economics (including large lectures of over 300 seats for the Storrs position); evidence of integrating technology into instruction, and excellent oral and written communication skills. Salary will be competitive with the national market. Equivalent foreign degrees are acceptable.

These are nine-month positions. Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Employment will be contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check.
