Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Center for Economic and Social Research (CESR) of the University of Southern California is now accepting applications for the position of Research Scientist in the field of international development in its Washington, D.C. location. CESR is a new interdisciplinary institute in the USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences.
The position requires excellent analytical skills, strong written and oral communication skills, significant knowledge of a specialized research area, experience leading projects and proposals and working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, and a commitment to affecting change through empirical research.

CESR is seeking candidates with interest and expertise in the following technical areas: economic development, financial inclusion, gender, health economics, social protection, aging, labor, entrepreneurship, migration, and policy analysis.

Qualifications
* PhD in Economics, International Development, Public Policy or Public Health with a similar curriculum in microeconomic theory and econometrics.
* At least 5 years experience in research, higher education or international development institution.
* Demonstrated research skills, preferably in the form of peer review publications or similar.
* Demonstrated success initiating and leading research projects and proposals.
* Familiarity with international development donors and funders desirable.
* Experience collaborating with international partners in research projects desirable.
