Overview:
The American Institutes for Research (AIR) is a leading behavioral and social science research organization. We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Researcher to manage evaluation projects in our Chicago, IL or Naperville, IL office.

Responsibilities:
The Senior Researcher manages evaluation projects with responsibilities to include:
-Serving as client contact for analytical or statistical expertise
-Managing or leading evaluation projects or tasks
-Developing conceptual frameworks that guide project work
-Applying appropriate techniques to collect, analyze and report quantitative and qualitative data
-Organizing and documenting analytical results and research procedures
-Creating and piloting quantitative and qualitative data collection instruments
-Preparing evaluation reports and presenting findings to clients and the public
-Assisting in developing and drafting new business proposals
-Mentoring researchers, sharing their approaches to solving concrete problems, and providing feedback on the work of others

Qualifications:
-Ph.D. or Master's degree with 5-7 years of relevant work experience in economics, the social sciences or related field.
-Demonstrated knowledge of K-12 education preferred
-Knowledge of methodology used to collect, analyze, and report quantitative and qualitative data.
-Demonstrated proficiencies in writing, conceptualizing, analyzing, and consulting.
-Strong organizational and interpersonal skills including strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to produce concise, high-level summaries and briefings.
-Experience managing detailed projects and small teams preferred.
-Experience with SPSS/SAS or other statistical software preferred.
