Faculty Responsibilities:
In addition to being active scholars, applicants should be committed to the cultivation of superior teaching skills in economics courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, including micro and macroeconomics at the principles level and intermediate microeconomics, as well as two or more other subject areas of economics - Environmental Economics, Health Economics, Labor Economics, Regional Economics, International Trade & Finance, Economic Development, and Econometrics. An interest in interdisciplinary research and co-authorship with SGCM colleagues is valued. Applicants are expected to actively participate in important university, school and departmental support and service responsibilities (e.g., faculty governance, mentoring, development, and student advising). Collegiality is valued and the ability to get along with other people is required.
