The Department of Economics seeks to fill one tenure track position at the rank of assistant professor. We seek an individual with research interests in macroeconomics and/or monetary economics. Expertise in financial economics with the ability to teach a master's-level course in financial markets is an advantage, but not required. Our primary interest is in candidates with strong econometric or experimental skills who can complement the research interests of our small but vibrant department. Applicants should be committed to scholarly research and teaching of the highest quality. The faculty member will be required to have an established research agenda and potential for scholarship or creative expression to complement and expand existing expertise in the department. The candidate must have demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
