The Department of Economics at University of California, Los Angeles invites applications for a Lecturer in Economics position beginning September 2014. This is a temporary non-tenure track appointment. Lectureship appointments are part time and made quarter by quarter as dictated by instructional needs and budget constraints of the department. Candidates must have at least two years of teaching experience and a demonstrated record of distinguished undergraduate teaching. Candidates must be able to handle a large class environment. Desirable fields for undergraduate teaching are principles of economics, intermediate micro and macro, statistics, and econometrics. Upper division elective courses are a possibility. Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. in economics or in fields of comparable sophistication.
