Opening for an instructor/assistant professor in economics. Although the College has a traditional rank and tenure system, all new appointments are non-tenure track. The position is a one-year term contract from August 18, 2014 to June 15, 2015 and is renewable depending upon performance, enrollment and funding. To qualify for the position, a master's degree in economics or equivalent (at least 24 graduate hours in economics, including micro and macro) is required, Ph.D. preferred. Proficiency in statistics, a proven ability to teach college-level economics courses, and current experience with a range of computer applications in economics and statistics is required. Additionally, excellence in oral, written and interpersonal communication skills is expected. Teaching assignments of 15 faculty load hours per semester will primarily include courses in introductory, microeconomics, macroeconomics, and business statistics.
