The University of St. Gallen, Switzerland – a leading University in Management, Economics, Law, Social Sciences and International Affairs – seeks to appoint a
Professor of Business Economics and Public Policy
by August 1, 2014 or by mutual agreement
You will join the leadership team of the Executive School for Management, Technology and Law. A successful candidate with a sufficiently strong research record may also be appointed to the Department of Economics. You will coordinate and teach core Economics modules in our numerous executive programmes (e.g. in our Executive MBA programme), develop contacts with corporate clients and develop new programmes/products, and contribute to the public economic debate in Switzerland and/or the wider German-speaking area. We are looking for an appointment at the level of Full Professor.
You will bring to the post a recognised reputation within micro/managerial or macro/international economics, as demonstrated by your professional career and/or publication track record. You have a track record of success in teaching senior executives; are fluent in English and German; and have access to a network in academia or practice that may support executive education in economics.
This opportunity will suit a senior academic wishing to broaden connections with firms or a senior practitioner wishing to reflect on the links between theory and practice. The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues in the core subject areas of the University (management, economics, law, international affairs and social sciences).
