The Department of Economics invites applications for an Assistant Professor beginning August 11, 2014.

Responsibilities: teach two sections of Principles of Macroeconomics and one elective course each semester. Preference will be in the areas of Economic Development, Economic Growth, Monetary Economics, and Money & Banking.

Required: ABD status in economics, evidence of/potential for teaching effectiveness, strong communication skills, and mentoring of student research.

Preferred: Ph.D. in economics, evidence of commitment to liberal arts education, preparation or experience related to the responsibilities of the position, and evidence of scholarly activity.
