University of Idaho's Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology Department invites applications for 9-month tenure track Assistant Professor (50/50 research/teaching) with a focus on agricultural marketing and/or finance. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a nationally recognized teaching and research program focusing on agricultural commodity markets and price analysis. Research is expected to result in grant funding and publications in leading journals related to this appointment. The successful candidate will develop a quality teaching program, including collaboration with the College of Business and Economics Barker Capital Management and Trading Program (http://www.uidaho.edu/cbe/barker-program) in furthering opportunities for student learning about commodity markets. The successful candidate will also advise and mentor undergraduate students, and chair and serve on graduate committees. Required qualifications include: PhD in Agricultural Economics, Economics, Finance, or a closely related field is required by start of employment; specialization or focus in agricultural markets; and demonstrated excellence in written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
