The Economics Department at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Economics. The department seeks candidates in applied microeconomics who will complement its strengths in the economics of innovation and technological change, behavioral and experimental economics, industrial organization, law and economics, environmental economics, and economic history.

Candidates at any rank must have earned a Ph.D. or foreign degree equivalent in Economics or closely related discipline. All degree requirements must be complete at the time of appointment. Candidates for the rank of Assistant Professor must also exhibit, through their accomplishments, promise of future distinction in research, scholarship and education. Candidates for the rank of Associate Professor must also possess a record of excellence in scholarship as demonstrated by an emerging national and/or international reputation, a level of high quality in educational activities including teaching and advising, and a significant level of service to the department, the Institute, and the profession.
