Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Economics Department at West Virginia University seeks applications for a position at the assistant or associate professor level. We seek either a senior assistant professor with a productive research record or an associate professor with an internationally recognized record of excellence in research. Consideration will be given to the applicant's ability to communicate the free-market perspective to a broad audience. A successful candidate will be a member of the economics department, be affiliated with a new political economy center, be expected to produce high-quality scholarship for leading economics journals, serve on dissertation committees, and teach both undergraduate and PhD courses in economics. Depending on qualifications, a successful candidate will be offered a tenure-track position or be brought in with the recommendation for tenure. A Ph.D. in Economics or terminal degree in a related field is required.
