International Business School Suzhou (IBSS) at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) is a leading international business school in China. The University of Liverpool (UK) and Xi'an Jiaotong University (China) have partnered to create a unique place for research and learning while Suzhou is one of the most beautiful and dynamic cities in China and is in close proximity to Shanghai, a major center for commerce and finance. IBSS currently has 60 academic staff and almost 2,000 students. The school seeks to recruit academic leaders who share its vision of research, academic excellence and a commitment to teaching and service. Classes are conducted in English to a select group of students from China and around the world. Our BSc in Economics is currently in operation while new BSc Economics and Finance and MSc Economics and Finance programs will be launched in 2014/15. Other exciting developments include the soon to be research center for Asia and Pacific Economies, the Chinese economy and international trade, the creation of an experimental economics computer lab and regular and annual research seminars.

Applicants with a research interest from a wide range of specialities, as well as interdisciplinary fields, will be carefully considered. Particular fields of interest are: Financial Economics, International Economics and Econometrics. Successful applicants will have completed his/her PhD before June 2014. Teaching experience and evidence of the ability or potential to produce high quality research publications is essential. Exceptional candidates with professional backgrounds, who are not currently active in research, will also be considered. Associate Professor candidates should also have a strong track record of excellence in teaching and academic supervision. Experience in developing and managing Masters programs or an interest in either the themes of the research centre or being part of an experimental economics working group would also be well regarded.
Application Instructions:

The salary range is 14,463 - 29,222 RMB/month (Lecturer), and 29,664 - 40,497 RMB/month (Associate Professor), in addition to accommodation and travel allowances, medical insurance, and relocation expenses. Overseas staff may receive a tax holiday of up to three years, depending on nationality and personal circumstances.
