Full Text of JOE Listing:
NYU Shanghai is seeking to fill a tenured or tenure track position in the field of Experimental/Behavioral/ Neuro economics beginning in the Fall Semester of 2014. The ideal candidate would have a thorough training in micro/behavioral economic theory, and/or experience in conducting and analyzing laboratory or field experiments. More senior candidates should have a distinguished record of research in the area and an active research agenda. An interest in (or experience with) neuro-scientific tools in research is desirable since NYU Shanghai is currently in the process of developing an active inter-disciplinary group working at the intersection of economics, psychology, and neuroscience. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a key role in the growth of that interdisciplinary group and the development of its experimental facilities, and is expected to teach and otherwise contribute to the innovative educational mission of NYU Shanghai.

The terms of employment are competitive and include housing and educational subsidies for children. Members of NYU Shanghai standing faculty receive generous support for research and travel. Faculty may also spend time at NYU New York and other sites of the NYU global network, engaging in both research and teaching. The appointment will begin as soon as September 1, 2014, with a later start date possible, pending candidate availability.
