Applications are being accepted for one tenure-track positions at the assistant professor level for appointments effective September 1, 2014 (Requisition #89890).

The Department seeks an economist with strong background in microeconomic theory and/or applied microeconomics. The Department has particular needs in the areas of labor economics, microeconometrics, and international trade, but all applied microeconomics fields will be considered. The successful applicants will have a Ph.D. in economics by the start date and will be expected to contribute to the university's mission and carry out publishable research, apply for external funding, supervise Ph.D. dissertation research, and teach effectively at the graduate and undergraduate level. Salary, scholarly assistance and benefits are competitive.

Applicants should provide a letter of interest, vita, transcripts of graduate work, three letters of reference, a research paper, a research statement, evidence of teaching effectiveness, if available, and statement of teaching philosophy. Preference will be given to candidates whose application and supporting material are received by December 1, 2013. Interviews will be held at the Annual AEA/ASSA meeting in Philadelphia, PA.
