The Analytics Director oversees a portfolio of research and modeling projects related to CNA products, business units and emerging risks. He/She acts as a senior-level expert responsible for developing theoretical and/or empirical financial, economic and statistical models of a complex nature.

It is expected that the Analytics Director will have a strong background in an analytical / quantitative discipline such as economics, statistics or related field and have research experience / interests among the following fields: econometrics, health economics, risk management / insurance, behavioral economics or market research / forecasting.

This position will afford significant opportunities to work directly with product / business unit leaders and other researchers within the broader Analytics group. Analytics is a multidisciplinary group within the Actuarial unit composed of economists, statisticians, mathematicians, engineers, physicists, actuaries and epidemiologists.

An advanced degree in Economics or related quantitative field and at least five to seven years of relevant experience is preferred. The position will be based in Chicago and the will report to the VP, Analytics, Strategic Research & Economic Modeling. The Analytics Director will be encouraged to participate in appropriate industry / professional groups.
