The School of Economics at the University of Sydney is one of the primary centres for economics in Australia and the wider Asia/Pacific region, located in one of the most exciting cities in the world.

To further strengthen our research portfolio and provide additional academic leadership to the School wishes to appoint a Professor of Econometrics. The successful applicant will have an active and visible program of research in any field of Econometrics. He/she will join a strong, young and growing research group in Econometrics at the School, with the opportunity to engage more broadly within the research community in the city and nationally. With an outstanding record of publication in the leading journals, and an international reputation for excellence in research that will enhance the position of the School of Economics internationally and nationally, the appointed candidate must be able to collaborate closely with colleagues in research and teaching.

Subject to budgetary approval, a competitive remuneration package (including up to 17% employer's contribution to pension) will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
