Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston is seeking an entry-level economist interested in macroeconomics or finance related fields. Entry-level applicants are expected to have a solid background in statistics, econometrics, and/or computational methods. However, all qualified applicants will be considered. Applications will be accepted until the position has been filled.

The open position is in the Risk and Policy Analysis Unit of the Supervision Department. Primary responsibilities include producing research for publication in top academic journals, advising senior management on policy issues related to financial stability and the regulation of financial institutions and financial markets, and participating in supervision at large financial institutions. The job involves a moderate amount of travel.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in economics, finance, or a related field; demonstrated research capability; and strong written and oral communication skills. We also consider more experienced candidates for this posting. Salary and level of position will be commensurate with background and experience.
