The Office of International Affairs of the Department of the Treasury is recruiting PhD Economists interested in working on international economic policy issues. If you have an interest in working for an office that is responsible for advising and assisting senior Treasury officials in formulating and executing policies and programs related to international economic, financial, monetary affairs, trade, investment, and energy and environment finance, we invite you to consider joining the Department's Office of International Affairs.

International Affairs focuses on a range of issues including: developing and guiding U.S. polices to promote global economic growth and financial stability; monitoring global economic and financial conditions; promoting better understanding of U.S. policies; leading U.S. Government participation in multilateral groups and organizations such as the G20, IMF, and World Bank; advancing development, energy and environment finance, and managing reviews of foreign investment. A career in International Affairs also provides opportunities to work overseas and in international financial institutions.

PhD candidates with fields in Macroeconomics, International Economics or, Finance are especially sought. Applicants must be US citizens. Eligible candidates may be interviewed at the AEA meetings in Philadelphia.
