With a new administration comes new policies. January 2018 is an appropriate moment to assess the changes emerging in the Trump administration. President Trump has claimed the mantle of being pro-worker, primarily based on his positions on immigration, trade and infrastructure. This opens up the possibility that this administration will depart from traditional conservative or Republican labor policy approaches. The panel will examine and assess the emerging policies towards labor standards (e.g. minimum wage, overtime), labor relations/unions, and retirement security.
