Canadian International Labour Network (CILN)

This organization is devoted to "effects of labour-market laws and institutions (e.g., labour legislation, unions, unemployment insurance) on labour-market outcomes (e.g., the distribution of wages, the level and structure of unemployment, and the distribution of resources within the family)." It is a joint project of the Canadian Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, (SSHRC), McMaster University, the Universities of British Columbia and Toronto, and Human Resources Development Canada. One aim is to develop large databases for numerous countries in this area. Besides information on the project, you can read about future conferences.
