Do Minimum-Wage Hikes Mean Healthier Babies?

A piece in The Atlantic cited a 2012 study from the American Economic Journal: Economic Policy about the connection between family income and infant health. In Income, the Earned Income Tax Credit, and Infant Health, the authors find that babies born to families that had more after-tax income after a change to the Earned Income Tax Credit had slightly lower rates of low birth weight.
