I've seen quite conflicting writing advice about whether or not the literature review should be a stand-alone section, or something done by parts throughout the introduction as it is relevant. In a job market paper, which is substantially different from a typical paper in many ways, is one approach strongly preferred to the other?
Choices:
Stand-alone section
Integrated
Doesn't Matter
