Econ Journal Watch (EJW) This freely available peer-reviewed journal has an interesting focus:
"It will watch the journals for inappropriate assumptions, weak chains
of argument, phony claims of relevance, and omissions of pertinent
truths. ... EJW will publish Comments on articles appearing in
prestigious economics journals. EJW will provide the commented-on
authors the opportunity to respond. EJW will serve as a forum for
discourse about economics research and the economics profession."
It also has four interesting sections:
Do Economists Reach A Conclusion? (are policy conclusions reached?)
Intellectual Tyranny of the Status Quo (the debate between desirable
and possible policies)
Investigating the Apparatus (how well does peer review work?)
Economics in Practice (how economists carry out their work)
One can sign up at the site for e-mail that announces each issue (it
comes out three times a year).
