- First International Family Business Research Forum
- Witten, University of Witten/Herdecke, Germany
- The aim of this Forum is to try to reconcile such negative and positive views of family firms, understanding the role of theories and contexts in guiding more insightful research on family firms. Indeed, theory is crucial for theadvancement of a field, as it allows scholars to explain and predict phenomena of interest. In this way, future research should aim to better predict when the positives and negatives above are likely to occur, and under what conditions. In this way, the Forum will aim to address questions such as: What kind of theories should we use? What kinds of data, and about which type of companies, should we gather? Which variables have the highest explanatory power? Which new methods should we explore? What are the underlying unexpressed research questions that may help to move the field to the next step? Therefore, we invite submissions from the international family business research community, to discuss togetherthe state of the art of the research on family firms, and have the opportunity to collect feedbacks and insights on how to develop the ideas presented in the Forum for leading international journals.[gem?_?? den Informationen des Anbieters - according to site editor's information]
