Job Announcement:
The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) invites applications for a postdoctoral position within the UTEP FIRST program (https://www.utep.edu/utep-first/). This program is dedicated to advancing Hispanic Health Disparities Research (HHDR) through a faculty cohort model that fosters inclusive excellence. The postdoctoral fellow will work with UTEP FIRST faculty members, engaging in research on health disparities under the mentorship of Dr. Hyeran Chung.
The selected candidate will conduct research on health disparities, assist in program development, participate in data collection and analysis, and contribute to grant writing and publications in peer-reviewed journals. The position provides an interdisciplinary research environment that supports faculty and student success while addressing community health outcomes. This two-year position is designed to support professional development and prepare the fellow for a tenure-track academic role.
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in applied economics, economics, health policy, public policy, or a related field. They should have experience or demonstrate potential to contribute to health disparities research, as well as strong data management and analytical skills, including proficiency in working with large datasets.
