The Wilson Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunities (LEO) at the University of Notre Dame is a research center dedicated to reducing poverty and improving lives in the United States through evidence-based programs and policies. LEO is looking for a proactive, self-starter who desires to be part of solving one of the most critical issues our nation faces today – poverty. The Postdoctoral Fellow will be part of our faculty team and will contribute to our criminal justice focus area within that team. They will be responsible for leading a team in design, execution, and analysis of studies of criminal justice system interventions.

The Postdoctoral Fellow’s top priorities will be:

1)Design studies measuring the impact of criminal justice system interventions. 2) Lead research teams that execute study design. 3) Compose study results for academic and public outlets. 4) Regularly collaborate with LEO’s social service provider partners.

Qualifications:

Required-
A deep commitment to the mission of both LEO and the University; PhD in Economics or related field; Experience studying crime and/or criminal justice; Interest in academic projects that collaborate with practitioners

Preferred-
Experience in design, execution, or analysis of randomized controlled trials

This is a three year, limited-term position.
