Established in 1974, Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics (hereinafter ZUFE) is a multi-disciplinary university that focuses on economics and management, and maintains coordinated development in liberal arts, law, science, engineering, arts, and philosophy. As a key university in the Province, ZUFE is entitled to confer doctoral, master’s and bachelor’s degrees, and to enroll international students. The university attaches great importance to international exchange and collaboration, and has established partnerships with 147 universities and institutions from 34 countries and regions. According to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, ZUFE ranks 801-1000 worldwide and 251-300 in Asia. The university’s five subjects including economics and management are listed in the main subject rankings, and it entered the ESI Top 1% list of institutions in the fields of engineering, general social science, and environment ecology.

The university offers 4 first-level doctoral programs, 2 postdoctoral programs in Applied Economics and Statistics, 10 first-level master’s programs and 20 professional master’s programs. Applied economics is listed as the priority characteristic subject at the provincial-level. The university has received 143 Excellent Research Achievement Awards at the provincial and ministerial level and above, and has undertaken 627 scientific research projects at the national level and over 1,670 at the provincial and ministerial level. Four of our professors were granted Sun Yefang Award in Economic Science, and four professors were listed in the Highly Cited Chinese Researchers by Elsevier. The university has set up the Library of the Nobel Prize in Economics authorized by the Nobel Foundation, and invited four Nobel Laureates to give lectures at the campus.
